Left Joliet wall with 6 other loopers-easy time with 3 locks. Nearing S.R. we had alarms going off- raw water strainer cap had split open, spewing water all over forward part of engine room-lost tachometer-shut down and towed by Lovely Lady to marina-couple of miles- and made T-head dock safely.
John(Baums Rush) took the cap and epoxied it-will cure overnight and test out in the AM. Nice dinner at the marina restaurant with Time Out, Baums Rush,and Lovely Lady. Dewatered the bilge and hoping for the best in the morning.
