Sunday-Day 2
After a great breakfast at the Y.C., we moved over to DuSable Marina-only a few hundred yards away-nice floating docks and no rolling. Took the City bus tour in the afternoon-what a beautiful city, Chicago is. We were very impressed and we had an excellent guide on the upper deck bus. Will post pix on separate entry soon. Nice fast Verizon broadband access . Should be here for at least 2-3 more days, awaiting return of Gerry's nieces from Cincinnati on Tuesday. Fireworks again for the second night in a row.
Saturday-Day 1
Crossed the Lake on a beautiful , sunny, day yesterday and docked at Columbia Y.C. However it is extremely rolly here, so we will look for a better dockage this AM. Wonderful looper party at the Sutton's last night-Chicago Pizza and Chicago beef plus lots of chips, dips, cheeses and beer and wine. Thanks again, Ellen and Woody. Watched the Navy Pier fireworks from the Yacht Club deck. The Yacht club is a huge retired Great Lakes Cruise boat. Fireworks from Navy Pier.
