Nice, hot day to travel the beautiful Chicago River thru the City with its many bridges and awesome buildings. Sorry to leave as we had a marvelous time, depleted wallet and all. The river became very industrial as we went South and the barge traffic picked up, so we really had to pay close attention to our situation. Locked thru at Lockport and are staying on the free wall, with power here in Joliet. Happy hour on Time Out and dinner at a local pub with Miriam and George. Four other Loopers here, also.
