Proposed Itinerary of the Sea Knight

Starting in Mid April, we'll venture north on the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to the Chesapeake Bay with stops at Savannah, GA, Beaufort, Charleston, Georgetown, and Myrtle Beach, SC, Southport, Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Beaufort, New Bern, Washington, Belhaven, and Elizabeth City, NC, and Norfolk, VA.

Upon reaching the Chesapeake Bay, we'll meander for a few weeks, with stops at Annapolis, Baltimore and St. Michaels, MD, and hopefully join a Mainship raft-up in early June.

From there we'll stop in Philadelphia, PA, Cape May, Long Beach Island, and Atlantic Highlands, NJ.  We may enjoy a few days on the Long Island Sound, revisiting some of the sights of our honeymoon cruise, spent on a 22' cuddy cabin 16 years ago.

From there, up the Hudson River to join the NY State Canal Trek (CANCELLED see Captain's Log 5/18) on July 7th. We will cruise the Erie Canal and Finger Lakes and depart from Oswego, NY for the 1000 Islands and Kingston, Ontario, Canada. where we will start the Rideau Canal to Ottawa.

From Ottawa we will visit Montebello, Wendover and St. Anne on the Ottawa River, then to Montreal and Sorel on the St. Lawrence River. Now we proceed south on the Richelieu River and Chambly Canal to Lake Champlain where we hope to meander for a couple of weeks with stops at Plattsburgh, NY, and Burlington and Vergennes,VT.  South on the Champlain Canal to Troy, NY, and we will have completed the so-called "Champlain Triangle".

From there we will back track our route to Florida, hopefully catching whatever we might have missed on the way North. Our adventure ends at Amelia Island in early November, with hope for smooth seas and fair winds along the way.
